Healthy Tropical Protein Shake
The smoothie recipe below contains two coconut products:
*The oil, from the meat of the coconut.
*The milk, which adds water, but also gives the shake a thick, rich taste.
The pineapples add a tropical flavor to the smoothie and are a great source of cell-protecting antioxidants vitamin C and digestive enzymes.
Tropical Thunder Protein Smoothie
1 cup frozen pineapple
½ cup plain, organic, low-fat Greek yogurt
1 serving (2 scoops) Tera’s whey vanilla protein powder
2 tsp ground flaxseed
*1 serving (2 scoops) Whole food shake mix
1 Tbsp coconut oil
1 cup coconut milk
Blend all ingredients in order listed
Makes 2 servings. Perfect for before and after a run!
